The Egg Collection in the Zoological Museum contains eggs of both common and rare species, such as the critically endangered Whooping Crane, and also eggs of the extinct Passenger Pigeon. The collection is an eclectic cumulation of over 460 historic local specimens and also donated collections from other institutions and private collectors. Not all Wisconsin birds are represented.
