Wisconsin is home to both Cave Bats that are permanent residents, and Tree Bats that migrate south for the winter. All are valuable pest-control weapons: one Bat can eat 1,200 insects a night! Cave Bats are all endangered, mainly due to the fungal disease White-nose Syndrome.
