Workshop Engaging Rural Communities
DateMay 31, 2017
Location
CityBlack River Falls, WI
Deadline5/23/2017
Fee$0
A one-day conversation between rural community members and their state and national allies on the subject of improving rural health outcomes. Black River Falls is hosting the event, and will provide a panel from the "Jackson in Action" coalition, a cross-sector collaboration to improve the health of Jackson County residents.

The audience, invited from across Wisconsin and Minnesota, will be asked to take part in a large group conversation after the initial presentations by the Coalition. The conclusions and ideas from this meeting will be carried back to a national research project into how large foundations can better engage with rural communities around health.

The meeting is Wednesday, May 31st, from 9am - 4pm, held at the Comfort Inn, Black River Falls. There is no cost to attend, but we do ask that guests register in advance, so we know numbers for the lunch and seating arrangements.

If you have any questions, contact John Eich, Director of the WI Office of Rural Health: eich@wisc.edu or (608) 261-1890.

Thank you for your interest in the "Engaging Rural Communities" meeting in Black River Falls, on May 31st.
